The photographs in this exhibition represent only a fragment of artistic events taking place today in Indonesia. Performing arts thrive there drawing with sociopolitical issues that inspire the creators of contemporary art in many other countries.
Indonesia is a country of 17 504 islands, 1,340 ethnic groups and 546 languages. They are a source of great wealth and cultural diversity of Indonesia. The creators of art nowoczesnejsą rooted in local traditions and draw inspiration from them. The exhibition "Indonesia on stage," reveals the reality of the contemporary stage of Indonesia. It shows that not only the traditional art known leaflets tourist offices, but also the works of contemporary artists contribute to the creation of wealth and diversity of the country.
